SAMC is currently offering $6,000 sign-on bonuses to RNs recruited for full time FTE status (.8, .9, or 1.0) in the following areas:
- 2 East/Orthopedics
- 3 East/Oncology
- 4 East/Cardiology
- 5 East/Nephrology
- 6 East/Neurology
- 7 East/Cardiovascular
- Critical Care
- Emergency Department
All RNs hired in these areas will receive a $2,000 bonus on their first paycheck after date of hire as well as $2,000 on both their 1st and 2nd hire date anniversaries. A nurse who receives the initial sign-on bonus must stay in that hiring unit at least 12 continuous months in order to receive the 2nd and 3rd $2,000 anniversary bonuses. All rehires must have a 6-month break in service with SAMC before receiving the sign-on bonus. Eligible FTE status: .8, .9, and 1.0. Internal RN transfers are not eligible.
SAMC offers a Clinical Loan Forgiveness Program. This program shares in the cost of educating Registered Nursing students in exchange for a commitment to work for SAMC in a full-time position once the degree is earned. Click here for more information.
We also offer an Extended Weekend Work Option Program (EWOP) for RNs and LPNs who want a flexible weekend work schedule with a higher rate of pay. Weekend hours are 7 a.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Monday. A shift is 12 hours. You can work two weekend days and an additional day during the week or you can work Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For each weekend shift you work you will earn your base pay rate plus an extra $4 per hour. The extra $4 per hour only applies for weekend hours worked.
