Dr. Hayes is a double board certified Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine specialist who currently serves as the Chair of Osteopathic Principles and Practice at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine and Medical Director of the OPP Clinic at the NeuroSpine Center.
Prior to joining NeuroSpine, where he is currently practicing as an osteopathic manipulative medicine consultant for the Wiregrass medical community, he served at Full Spectrum Family Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan, practicing primary care integrated with osteopathic manipulative medicine.
Upon graduation from his double residency in Family Practice and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at MetroHealth in Wyoming, Michigan, he joined Spectrum Health Medical Group as an attending physician at the Campustowne Family Medicine Clinic in Allendale, Michigan.
Dr. Hayes’ dual board certifications in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Family Practice/Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment are recognized nationally through the AOBNMM and AOBFP, respectively.
His medical school training was successfully completed at Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine; his pre-medical undergraduate training was also at Michigan State University both of which are in East Lansing, Michigan. He attended Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany to complete a Bachelor of Arts in German during his third year of undergraduate training.
He is a member of and in good standing with the American Osteopathic Association, Alabama Osteopathic Medical Association, and the American Academy of Osteopathy.
Dr. Hayes is also member of the long standing electro-acoustic band K I L N since 1993. Their music is distributed nationally and internationally through the music label Ghostly International based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
