The NeuroSpine Team
Dr. Woodham has been an integral part of the Wiregrass medical community for the last three decades. He has cared for over 10,000 Wiregrass residents and was the first surgeon in Dothan to clip an aneurysm during a craniotomy.
Born in Webb, Alabama, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, and then completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Nebraska. His post-graduate specialty training began as an intern at the University of Iowa. He performed subspecialty residency training in neurological surgery at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital. He has been board-certified in neurological surgery for over 20 years.
Dr. Woodham has served terms as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Houston County Medical Society. He served as Chief of Staff, Chief of Trauma and Chief of Surgery at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, in addition to serving as Chief of Staff at Flowers Hospital.
Dr. Voss was trained at one of the nation’s most prestigious neurosurgical programs – the Semmes-Murphy Clinic in Memphis, Tenn. He is extensively trained in minimally invasive surgery, the latest in spinal surgery technologies. Dr. Voss has a special interest in Stereotactic Radiosurgery for the treatment of brain tumors.
Dr. Voss attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He graduated with academic honors from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1994. Upon completion of his internship in general surgery, he specialized in neurological surgery at the University of Tennessee Memphis in association with the Semmes-Murphy Clinic. He has several academic honors including medical school Alpha Omega Alpha membership, research fellowships and publications in peer-reviewed medical journals. He is board-certified in neurological surgery and has practiced in Dothan since July 2000.
Nguyen Trong Do, D.O., completed his combined orthopedic and neurosurgery complex spine fellowship at the prestigious northwestern regional level 1 trauma center, Harborview Medical Center/University of Washington School of Medicine. He graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University Medical School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, completed his neurological surgery training in California, and is a member of the Psi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society. In addition to receiving numerous national honors, he is published and has presented at neurosurgery conferences worldwide.
Dr. Do is highly trained in comprehensive neurosurgery with special expertise in complex spine deformity reconstruction, minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal cord injuries, artificial disc replacement and spinal cord tumor surgery.
His patient care philosophy is based on working with patients to develop the best treatment plan after the specific medical problem
is identified. He is board certified in Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Hargett joined NeuroSpine in July 2011. His interests include degenerative spine, minimally invasive spinal surgery, spine and brain trauma, brain tumors, complex spine and normal pressure hydrocephalus.
Dr. Hargett did his Neurosurgery residency at Advocate BroMenn Healthcare in Normal, Ill. He received his medical degree in 2005 from Pikeville College-School of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Ky. Dr. Hargett received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, as well as graduate studies as a Surgical Physician’s Assistant.
An Alabama native, Dr. Hargett and his family are excited about returning to his home state. Dr. Hargett looks forward to taking care of the neurological needs of patients in the area for many years to come.
