- About Us
The Southeast Alabama Medical Center's Call Center offers a Women's Advice Line. Through your touch-tone phone, you can access information and advice on hundreds of topics, medical conditions and diseases.
Can't find exactly what you are looking for or need more information? You can speak directly with a registered nurse who uses a special computerized database to give you fast, reliable healthcare information. When you dial our number, you'll speak directly to a specially-trained registered nurse who will carefully listen to your questions and then help you make an informed decision about what to do. You'll get accurate, confidential information in the privacy of your home.....free of charge.
To reach the Women's Advice Line, call 334-712-3336 or 1-800-735-4998; when the operator begins speaking, press 2 on your phone's key pad.
Adjacent to the Imaging Center's waiting area in the SAMC Women's Center, the Women's Center Library is a patient information and education library with free health information brochures, as well as books and videotapes covering a wide variety of health topics. Many of the center's materials can be checked out for one month free of charge. As an added benefit, the center features a certified breast health coordinator who can instruct patients in proper techniques for performing self-breast exams, answer questions, and help locate any information and services patients may need.
