Southeast Wound Care is designed to complement your physician's services and is committed to the treatment of problem wounds. The Center is comprised of a team of professionals that include:

This program is targeted to those in an acute crisis who need immediate medical care. Severe depression or anxiety, psychotic symptoms and the need for medication stabilization are examples of such crises. Our clinical approach is to quickly intervene through medical management, establishment of support systems and solution-focused therapy.
Behavioral Medicine Unit
SAMC's Behavioral Health Unit is a medically supervised and licensed facility offering individual program plans for adults 19 years and older. The mission of the Behavioral Health team is to provide adult crisis intervention, stabilization and treatment. The team consists of board-certified psychiatrists, certified psychiatric nurses, a mental health clinical specialist, licensed professional counselors, occupational therapists and mental health associates who implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress toward individual treatment goals.
Outpatient Psychiatric Services
AltaCare provides psychiatric programs for adults, adolescents and children. Our caring staff provides effective mental health treatment for depression, acute stress and anxiety, loss or grief issues, and other psychiatric or behavioral problems.
Referrals to AltaCare are accepted from professionals and family members. Our services are covered by most major health insurance plans. Pre-admission verification and rates are available upon request. Private pay arrangements are also available.For further information or to schedule an assessment,
SAMC's Intensive Treatment Program (ITP) is a mental health inpatient program for adults ages 19 and over who are in acute crisis due to mental illness, emotional distress or destructive behavior patterns.
The program is designed to stabilize patients who require a more controlled environment for healing and growth with the goal of easing them back into a return to their everyday routines.
Our highly experienced team of psychiatrists, nurses, social workers and others provide intensive care to those individuals whose mental health status requires they be treated within a secure environment. In the ITP, we believe people are entitled to high-quality care in an environment that is safe, therapeutic and offers individual choice.

We specialize in assessing and treating people who have severe and/or enduring mental health problems through the establishment of a treatment plan, with input from the patient and their families.
The ITP is a specialized area of the Medical Center which allows for closer observation. Our ITP is the region's largest hospital-based inpatient program.
