- About Us
The Physical Therapy Department focuses on returning people to their daily work and leisure activities after an injury or surgery. Therapists are committed to doing a thorough evaluation on each person and treating the individual rather than the condition. A physical therapist will assess ROM, strength, muscle imbalance and joint restriction to help determine present levels or deficits. The evaluation will help the therapist determine the best treatment plan for the patient. In addition, patients receive instruction for home exercise programs individually designed to help further their recovery and continue long term management.
As a continued commitment to our patients, we offer several new therapies – Anodyne Therapy and Balance Therapy.
Balance Therapy utilizes state-of-the-art equipment including a Biodex Isokinetic dynamometer, a Biodex Gait Trainer treadmill and the Biodex Balance System. This equipment objectively assesses and trains both gait and balance. They are great tools for our therapists to provide our patients the best care possible.

You will undergo a thorough diagnostic examination to identify the type of wound you have and the underlying problems causing the wound. After this, a program specially tailored to your needs will be initiated based on the most effective treatment options. Your treatment may include:
- Wound infection management
- Physical therapy
- Vascular assessment
- Laboratory assessment
- Nutritional evaluation
- Pain management
- Diabetic education
- Nuclear medicine testing
- Radiology evaluation
- Regular wound debridements
- Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) therapy when appropriate
Once a treatment plan has been initiated, you will visit the Center on a regularly scheduled basis for wound care. You will be instructed on how to administer your own wound care at home between visits, as well as how to protect your wound from further complications. You are the most important part of your healing process. Keeping appointments and following directions clearly are critical to attaining a positive healing outcome.
