The Southeast Alabama Maternity Care Program’s goal is to help you deliver a healthy baby while also taking good care of yourself. It is important that you begin prenatal care as soon as you discover you are pregnant.
If you are a Medicaid recipient and live in Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry or Houston County, you are eligible for care through the Southeast Alabama Maternity Care Program. You may call to make an appointment with the Maternity Care Program at (334) 712-3727 or (334) 712-3784 (Monday – Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) or 1-800-735-4998 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
If you do not have insurance or other means of payment, we can help you apply for assistance from Medicaid. Click here for more information. Once you qualify for Medicaid and are enrolled into the Maternity Care Program, we will help pay for the cost of your prenatal care, the delivery of your baby and your routine postpartum care (up to 60 days past date of delivery).
The Southeast Alabama Maternity Care Program enjoys partnerships with a variety of delivering healthcare professionals licensed in Alabama who are qualified to offer the best possible care for you before, during and after the birth of your baby. The Care Coordinator will provide you a list of all participating delivering healthcare professionals to choose from at your initial enrollment appointment.
