Our Mood and Anxiety Disorders (MAP) program at Southeast Alabama Medical Center is a short-term inpatient treatment program for individuals ages 19 and over who are suffering from a variety of disorders including:
- Bipolar Disorder
- Anxiety/Panic Disorder
- Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder
- Severe Depression
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Adult Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
- Seasonal Affective Disorder
- Dysthymic Disorder
Our innovative program offers a wide range of treatment options based on an in-depth evaluation and a review of the case history of each patient. Our evidence-based care follows a multi-disciplinary approach and is individualized – designed to meet specific patient needs in a compassionate and respectful environment.
Our professional staff maintains strict confidentiality and includes the patient in treatment decisions. We treat you like family – like we'd want our family treated.
MAP also serves as a referral center for medical and surgical patients within the Medical Center who may need evaluation and treatment for psychiatric disorders occurring in conjunction with general medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, chronic pain or cancer.
MAP is the region's largest hospital-based short term inpatient program for mood and anxiety disorders.
