Sweet Tea Event a Smash Hit

 

The first quarterly event of SAMC's new Sweet Tea Society -- a women's program with a twist of fun and fellowship --1889SweetTeaJeanneRobertson

 featured nationally known humorist Jeanne Robertson, whose program revealed how humor can add balance to our busy lives. Above, Robertson pauses for a photo opportunity with some fans before the show at the Dothan Opera House.

Jeanne Robertson's unique style of storytelling kept the audience engaged in remembering to appreciate the humor found in everyday life.

Every attendee received a free Sweet Tea Society tumbler.

5:30 p.m. social hour -- join us for cancer fighting refreshments: blueberry muffins, raw vegetables, multi-grain breads and of course, Green Tea. Also guess the number of blueberries in the bra. The person closest to the actual number will receive a $100 gift card to the SAMC Women's Center Boutique (to purchase bras).

5:30 p.m. social hour -- join us as Amy D. from WOOF-FM's morning show hosts "Name that heart song." Amy will play a portion of 10 famous love songs. The person who gets the most right will receive a romantic dinner for two on Valentine's day. Heart shaped refreshments will be served along with raspberry flavored tea.
