Disaster preparation

SAMC recently conducted an external disaster drill which simulated a collision between a church DIsasterDrill310x153 bus and a tractor-trailer. These disaster drill help the Medical Center to be prepared in the event of a large scale incident in the community. Twenty simulated victims (all SAMC volunteers) were transported, triaged and treated in the Emergency Department. Above, SAMC emergency physician Scott Everett, MD, and Levonne Outlaw, RN, triage simulated patients as they arrive at the ED.
