Female science students tour SAMC
More than 25 girls from grades 6 - 11 who are interested in math and science visited SAMC this week as part of program funded by Troy-Dothan. The girls spent one day at ACOM and one day at the Medical Center. They toured the Cath Lab, Imaging, Family Birth and Pharmacy. They had lunch and listened to clinical experts talk about how math and science is used in their jobs. In the photo, Mark Greene, a cardiac radiographer in the cath lab, explains how a heart catheter works to one of the tour groups.
