ACOM students volunteer

Members of the ACOM chapter of the American Medical Students Association (AMSA) ACOMStudentGuyHamiltonScreeningVanInside are volunteering their time on the Southeast Regional Screening Program’s (SRSP) mobile unit. Above, ACOM student Guy Hamilton registers patients for their annual mammograms at a recent location of the mobile unit. Hamilton is one of five ACOM students who have given their time on the mobile unit.

Kim Atwell, program coordinator for the SRSP, says, “Our staff is grateful to the students of ACOM. Choosing to volunteer with our patients rather than take a well-deserved spring break speaks volumes of their commitment to community outreach.”
