The goal of the Occupational Therapy Department is to use creative and innovative methods to provide our inpatients and outpatients with the care needed so they may return to their maximum level of independence as quickly as possible. The Occupational Therapy Department offers the most comprehensive array of occupational therapy services in the region. In addition to providing care to those in need of therapy for upper extremity rehabilitation and activities of daily living skills, this progressive department works in multiple specialty treatment areas.
Diagnoses Treated – strokes, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, fractures, amputation, joint replacements, rotator cuff injuries, tendon and nerve injuries, burns, UE wounds, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, medical and lateral epicondylitis, arthritis, development delays, congenital deformities, chronic pain disorders, downs syndrome etc...

- Retraining of upper extremity coordination, dexterity, strength and range of motion
- Fabrication and monitoring of the custom made splints
- Instruction in activities of daily living such as feeding, grooming, dressing and household tasks
