Inpatient Psychiatric Services
This program is targeted to those in an acute crisis who need immediate medical care. Severe depression or anxiety, psychotic symptoms and the need for medication stabilization are examples of such crises. Our clinical approach is to quickly intervene through medical management, establishment of support systems and solution-focused therapy.
Behavioral Medicine Unit
SAMC's Behavioral Health Unit is a medically supervised and licensed facility offering individual program plans for adults 19 years and older. The mission of the Behavioral Health team is to provide adult crisis intervention, stabilization, and treatment. The team consists of board-certified psychiatrists, certified psychiatric nurses, a mental health clinical specialist, licensed professional counselors, occupational therapists, and mental health associates who implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress toward individual treatment goals.
Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit
The Geriatric Program is designed for adults 65 years of age or older. It offers individualized treatment that is specific and sensitive to development or situational crises of older adults. Through a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment process, this program helps the patient and family reach the highest possible level of productivity and mental health.
Outpatient Psychiatric Services
AltaCare
AltaCare provides psychiatric programs for adults, adolescents, and children. Our caring staff provides effective mental health treatment for depression, acute stress and anxiety, loss or grief issues, and other psychiatric or behavioral problems. We also provide chemical dependency services to treat substance abusse issues based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
