Environmental Services will clean your room daily. Problems related to the comfort of your room including temperature, electronic controls and general repairs will be handled by our Plant Operations Staff. Personal grooming appliances such as blow dryers, curling irons and shavers may be used in your room. However, all other privately owned appliances are considered fire hazards and are not permitted within SAMC.

Should a patient desire to transfer to another room:

• The attending physician must request an order for this move and supervisors have the authority to implement room transfers.
• Requests will be honored subject to bed availability.
• Transfer requests will be determined on the basis of the patient's need.
