Southeast Alabama Medical Center’s (SAMC) home medical equipment and home health offices are now conveniently located on the corner of Ross Clark Circle and Hedstrom Drive in the new Gator Bayou office complex.
A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for the public will be Thursday, March 11 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the new Advanced Home Medical Equipment (AHME) location. The ceremony will also include Southeast Alabama HomeCare, which is an affiliate of SAMC and it is located next to AHME.
A Joint Commission-accredited program, AHME offers an extensive line of state-of-the-art medical equipment and products for use in the home, which includes respiratory items such as oxygen, CPAP machines for sleep apnea patients and nebulizer compressors. It also carries basic durable medical equipment, diabetic supplies and wound care supplies, as well as a variety of other items.
As part of AHME’s commitment to provide the highest level of individual quality care, patients, their families and caregivers are provided with customized equipment training. The highly-skilled home medical equipment staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. AHME’s service area includes southeast Alabama, southwest Georgia and the Florida Panhandle.
Southeast Alabama HomeCare offers quality services for those who prefer to receive their healthcare in the comfort of their home. HomeCare is also a Joint Commission-accredited program that offers its patients highly skilled nurses and therapists. For your convenience, HomeCare provides a registered nurse on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
