Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) is committed to improving the healthcare of women. We recognize that women's healthcare has traditionally been defined largely in terms of those health needs that are different from men: reproductive health, maternity care, breast and gynecological care.
While these are important health issues, we understand that women's health has a broader range than these concerns, which is why our goal is to provide women not only superior care but also the tools to help them make the best healthcare choices. Our services include:
Many of our women's health services, including education classes, women's imaging, lactation services, the women's resource center and the Family Birth Center, are conveniently grouped in the attractive, modern SAMC Women's Center, a four-story building located on the SAMC Main Campus.
