Circumcision

Circumcision is a quick, simple procedure. There are a number of ways to do circumcision. A boy is born with a layer of skin that covers the rounded head or glans of the penis. This is called the foreskin. During circumcision, the foreskin is removed. This can make it easier to keep the penis clean. It may also help prevent urinary tract infections.

Adult males who were not circumcised as babies often times have to be circumcised because of infection involving the foreskin.  This procedure is done as an outpatient procedure.  The recovery period for children is a few days.  It may take up to a week for adults to recover.
