Since opening its doors in 1957, Southeast Alabama Medical Center
has, through advanced treatment and technology, provided for the changing

residents in the neighboring communities and counties of Southeast Alabama,
Southwest Georgia and the Florida Panhandle, its progress represents the

The Medical Center is also supported by a medical staff comprised of 250
physicians representing virtually every medical specialty. Ninety percent
of the medical staff at Southeast Alabama Medical Center is board-certified
compared to the national average of 60 percent.

regional referral center has achieved the reputation of providing the best
diagnostic; clinical, surgical and patient care services available in the
